Cosmetology students from Oceanside College of Beauty placed in each one of the three student hair competitions at the International Salon & Spa Expo on Sunday, January 29, the biggest beauty event on the West Coast which over 40,000 beauty professionals from around the world attended.

Oceanside College of Beauty Students Prepared for New State Board Exam | November 2011

Starting on October 1, the practical portion of the cosmetology state board exam was upgraded to the national version of the exam. Oceanside College of Beauty has been working hard to reconnect and retrain all of the graduates who still need to pass the exam and obtain their license. Whatever they're doing to help students prepare must be working, because all of the Oceanside College of Beauty students who have taken the new exam since it was implemented have passed!

New Graduate Wants To Help Others Conquer Coloring | October 2011

Beatriz Sandoval is ready for the next chapter of her life after graduating from the cosmetology program at Oceanside College of Beauty. She’s great at coloring, but she wants to be even better, so she plans on enrolling in a Master Colorist program.

Grad Finds Freedom with New Career by Opening Oceanside Salon | July 2011

Jenny Smith was inspired to enroll in the Oceanside College of Beauty cosmetology program by a family friend, who was a successful cosmetologist with her own salon. After graduating and working at her friend’s salon for a year, Jenny felt it was time to branch out on her own. Two years later, Jenny has found fulfillment owning and managing Roots Hair Salon in Oceanside, California and business is booming.

Oceanside College of Beauty will be honoring active-duty Military Personnel for Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, July 2. Cosmetology students will be giving free haircuts to all active-duty Military Personnel who show their military ID. The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Oceanside College of Beauty at 1575 South Coast Highway, in Oceanside, California. She was one of two student finalist selected from entries across the country who travelled to Atlanta, Georgia to compete live on stage. On August 31st, Oceanside College of Beauty gave students the chance to spend the day with a Clairol educator and learn how to apply Clairol hair color. Students learned how to apply temporary, semi-permanent, and permanent hair color from a variety of Clairol's hair color product lines.

Oceanside College of Beauty Honors Marine Corps Wives | August 2010

Oceanside College of Beauty celebrated Memorial Day by providing a group of local Marine Corps wives with a special Day of Beauty at the school’s salon last month. The women were treated to free hair, skin, and nail services, all performed by Oceanside College of Beauty students. The event was organized by Danielle Franchi, an Oceanside College of Beauty student who is a Marine Corps wife herself, and is involved in the Battalion Wives Association.
