What programs are offered at Oceanside College of Beauty?
Oceanside College of Beauty offers Cosmetology and Teacher Training programs, as well as several other programs designed to help you enhance specific beauty skills.
How do I apply to Oceanside College of Beauty?
To begin the application process for any of our programs, first call 760-757-6161 ext. 213 to set up a tour of our school. After you’ve seen our classrooms and student salon area, you’ll sit down with an admissions representative to discuss class schedules, cost, and financial aid. Our admissions representatives are here to help you through the entire process.
Do I need a High School Diploma or GED to enroll?
Prospective students OVER 18 years of age who have completed at least the 10th grade are eligible to enroll without a diploma or GED, once they pass the Ability to Benefit (A.T.B) test.
What kind of financial aid is available?
Oceanside College of Beauty is pleased to offer financial aid to those who qualify. Our accreditation allows our students to apply for both federal grants and loans. How will Oceanside College of Beauty prepare me for my state board exam?
We pride ourselves on the extensive state board preparation that we offer to our students. You’ll have the chance to participate in mock state board exams at the end of your training. These mock exams include both written and practical portions and are modeled after the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology licensing exam.
What jobs are available to cosmetologists?
Once you become a licensed cosmetologist, you could have a wide variety of jobs available to you! Many cosmetologists work in salons or spas, providing hair, skin, and nail services to customers. Other cosmetologists work in live theater, film or television providing hair and makeup on set. You could also become a platform artist or editorial hairstylist and showcase your creative designs in live performances or in magazines. There are lots of options available to help you express your creativity and share your talent!
